What happens when your 16mo old is the size of a 2 1/2 yr old?

She climbs out of her crib!!!!
I'm not even kidding.
I put her to bed tonight and a few minutes later I heard this really hard cry so I went in and she's standing on the floor reaching into her crib to get her blankie and stuffed animal.
I think she was more upset that she couldn't reach them than she was that she fell on the floor!
I knew she'd be the kind of kid to climb out some day just didn't think it would be this soon!
....what a nut!

Good luck with that! My friend's son is the same way. They had to flip the crib over to keep him in since once he got out he would climb his brother's bunk bed. Now they have a "crib tent" and she says it was the best investment ever. Maybe that might help?

Yep I know how you feel...If it makes you feel any better - Jonah was about 8 months old when he did it. I went down for a nap while he napped and listened to him talk for a bit before going to get him. When he started crying (hard) I knew it was time...and there he was on the floor! I KNOW I didn't leave him there. LOL

Hope she doesn't make it a habit - that could get annoying *real* fast!

btw - your girls are gorgeous!! I just love them!

That's the age we started putting Amelia in a toddler bed and it worked great! We were preparing to have the crib available for the 2nd one's arrival. WalMart has them for super cheap!!

I've heard that crib tents work wonders. But I don't really know. Good luck with that. Hehehe!

Hmmmm, sounds like fun! Lucy is way too short to get out of her crib. The top of the rail is the same height as her chin. i think we have a while.

I am dreading the day when Porter climbs out of the crib. I know he is already 2, but I'm gonna keep him in there as long as possible :)

I just updated myself on your blog. I am so jealous about your trip to Maui! It looks like it was such an amazing trip. Was it a graduation present? I think that's a fabulous idea.

I'm going to keep Versii in his crib as long as possible too. That's a bummer that she's already learned how to climb out. I'm glad that Versii hasn't attempted this yet.

I can't believe that! I hope Cassia doesn't do that but I am sure in time she will. Your Maui trip looked awesome - I am jealous!

Oh, Miss Erika, such a crack up! Sorry no suggestions here. Carts is a shorty too so hopefully I'm safe for awhile. Your Maui trip looked amazing. Thanks for sharing. You got some wonderful shots. I'm taking a photography class this summer so I'm hoping to learn a thing or two. Miss you! xoxo
