So this weekend, the girls and I headed off to Grants pass to visit Katie,Lily and Lucy. Poor Lily, not understanding this whole "moving" thing has been asking for megan to come over and not "getting it" when Meg can't just walk over there anymore:(.
anyway, it was fun. Katie's new house is beautiful and SO much BIGGER than our sandstone apts....hang in there Chiro students....good things to come for us poor folk;o)
Megan and Lily played ALL day and we also drove down to California to see the Redwood forests! I have NEVER been to California so it was exciting for me.
I WOULD have stopped to get my picture taken by the "Welcome to California" sign if I were not so desperate to get my child to sleep! Erika is a Diehard! as Katie put it, she was in the car for over 6hrs and only slept 20min...oh and another 3min nap if that counts lol. she was SO tired but refused to close her eyes and everytime one of us looked back at her she would just laugh. sigh..
anyway..here are some pics from the trip:) bear with me..there are A LOT!

When we got to Cresent City, Katie saw some calilily's (her FAVORITE flower) hope you're reading this TRENT!, so she decided to steal it....EVEN though she told us she thinks it's illegal to pick flowers in California! lol...

i love ALL these pics!! and i love you too!! we had so much fun. thank you so much for driving down here all by yourself. i know it was a big sacrifice and a big headache:) we miss you guys!!
It was so much fun dude! It was totally not a bad drive at all:) Megan said to me this morning...
"Mommy, are you SURE we're going back to Lily's this summer? " lol..."yes, Megan"....haha'
so we'll be back, don't worry...and when we get a fancy house, you can come stay with us:) thanks for all your hospitality, great dinners, and a room all to ourselves! how awesome was that?

Looks like fun! I can't wait to see more of Katie's house. Question, did you all fit in one car to go down to CA? Or were you in two seperate ones? I don't know why I'm so concerned about it, just curious.
Way fun! I miss good 'ol California. The redwoods are my favorite! Love the No Dumping pic - too funny! And I was thinking the same thing as Lindsey - did you all go in one car to CA?
no no. Trent drove Lily and Meg in their car, and we took Erika and Lucy in mine:)
